Alfa Romeo’s steady and solid growth continues in July

In July, Alfa Romeo registered over 2,300 new cars in Italy, representing growth of over 60% compared to the same month in 2022. The Italian brand's positioning as a premium marque that is growing from one year to the next has been confirmed: in January to July 2023, its share doubled year-on-year. The Tonale has been confirmed as the best-selling Premium C-SUV in the segment, with a share of 6% in July, further strengthening its leadership. After a month-on-month path of growth, in July the Stelvio achieved another extraordinary result, as the leading D-SUV with a share of over 12%. In Europe as a whole, Alfa Romeo has confirmed its trend of growth, with sales rising 35% compared to 2022.

Alfa Romeo’s growth continues, after a record-breaking first half of 2023. July confirmed the trend with over 2,300 registrations, as a result of which the Italian brand is shining out by recording a 60% increase in sales year-on-year. It has therefore been confirmed as the premium brand that is growing the most from one year to the next: it even doubled its share from January to July 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

Once again, the growth is spearheaded by the Tonale, fresh from its first anniversary last June, now reconfirmed as the big name again in July. The award-winning car now stands fast in first place among premium C-SUVs; in the last month, it has reached a share of 6%, to further strengthen its leadership in the segment. The top-of-the-range 280-hp plug-in hybrid Q4 version – which redefines the paradigm of efficient sportiness and is already one of the favorite premium plug-in hybrids in Italy – has undoubtedly contributed to the success of a model that has racked up more than 12,000 registrations since the beginning of the year.

The Stelvio’s commercial performance is also record-breaking, having achieved another extraordinary result: after a month-on-month path of growth, in July the model led the D-SUV segment, with a share of over 12%. This zenith confirms a further step in the right direction compared to the first half of the year; it has been achieved as a result of a major contribution from both individuals and long-term rental. Great results are also expected from the new and exclusive Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio, an ideal synthesis of technical refinement and technology to complete the new Alfa Romeo line-up.

IN EUROPE:

In Europe, Alfa Romeo has also consolidated its steady trend of net growth. After recording strong growth in the first half of 2023 with registrations having doubled year-on-year, growth continued in July to confirm the robustness of the strategic plan that has been applied with discipline and rigor to achieve the objectives set. The markets with the best performance include Germany, +108%; Belgium, +211%; the Netherlands +210%; Portugal, +40%.
Overall value has recorded growth of 35%.

In the words of Raffaele Russo, Managing Director of Alfa Romeo in Italy: “We are now beginning the second half of a year that has brought incredible results. The figures confirm appreciation for the new path we are taking, accompanied by great enthusiasm: it’s especially satisfying to see the steady success of the Tonale. We’re undoubtedly moving in the right direction and the entire team deserves to be thanked in particular. We’re looking ahead to the future with enthusiasm; throughout August, the Italian brand’s entire line-up will be awaiting you at Alfa Romeo’s dealerships.”
