Ferrari honoured at the Autolook Awards for Le Mans win

Maranello, 5 September 2023 - The Prancing Horse’s return to the top class of endurance racing and Ferrari’s success in the Centenary 24 Hours of Le Mans were honoured in the second edition of the Autolook Awards. Alessandro Pier Guidi picked up the award on stage in Turin in the ceremony on Monday, 4 September, the official driver for the Maranello manufacturer who was the first across the finish line at the Circuit de La Sarthe in France on 11 June, at the wheel of the number 51 Hypercar 499P shared in the race with James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.

The driver from Tortona was born in 1983 and is three-times world champion in the LMGTE Pro class of the FIA WEC, with the Ferrari 488 GTE in the 2017, 2021 and 2022 seasons. He took to the stage prepared in the centre of the capital of Piedmont to collect the award from Piergiorgio Re, president of the Turin ACI, with Autolook Week president Andrea Levy in attendance.

Pier Guidi represented the Ferrari – AF Corse team, which has taken part in the World Endurance Championship in the top Hypercar class from this season with car number 50, driven by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, who picked up the Hyperpole and the best time in the world’s most famous 24 Hour race, and car number 51 of the crew mentioned above. The Autolook Awards are part of Autolook Week Torino, an event entirely dedicated to motorsport.
