Star-studded parade in Milan for 90 years of emotion

Maranello, 28 August 2019 – There’s exactly a week to go to the 90 Years of Emotion event, which gets underway at 5pm on Wednesday 4^th September in Milan’s Piazza Duomo. Two iconic names of the motoring world, Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) and Scuderia Ferrari have got together to celebrate two important anniversaries alongside the fans and enthusiasts. The ACI is commemorating the ninetieth edition of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza and, along with AC Milano, the long time organiser of the Italian Grand Prix and SIAS (Società Incremento Automobilismo e Sport), has invited, as guest of honour, Scuderia Ferrari which was established ninety years ago this year.

The event will take place in one of the city’s best known landmarks, looking back at the history of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza and the amazing achievements of Scuderia Ferrari. The square will be filled with cars from all eras and some of them will take part in a spectacular parade. On top of that, an unbelievable number of stars of Formula 1 who were part of the Maranello team’s history will be there too. Coming onto the stage will be much-loved racers Jean Alesi, Gerhard Berger, Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa, Mario Andretti, Eddie Irvine and Rubens Barrichello. Alongside them will be the youngsters from the Ferrari Driver Academy, with talents asuch as Mick Schumacher and Giuliano Alesi, as well as Scuderia Ferrari’s current line-up of Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc. In addition, ACI President, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto and the Vice-President of the Maranello marque, Piero Ferrari will be in attendance along with a whole host of others who have contributed to the history of this unique team.

This is the Italian Grand Prix, which owes a lot to the amazing Monza circuit, the fastest, most difficult and spectacular track in Formula 1. It is this amazing tale that we are celebrating in Milan’s Piazza Duomo, along with Scuderia Ferrari and some of the greatest drivers from the past, the present and the future. It’s definitely a very important and prestigious milestone. However, it is not so much a chequered flag, but more of a green light which will come on and set us off towards another 90 years of strong passion, great emotion and unforgettable seasons, that will stir the hears of sports enthusiasts, fans and Ferrari supporters around the world.”
